We play games together late so we usually don’t voice chat, but we have a group text thing or text individually. One thing I’ve noticed is that my friends will so often ignore what I say. Normally after the match I’ll say something about it or ask them a question in light hearted fashion (like “how did you pull off that play? That was sick!) Or something about a common interest like sports or music. So often I’m left in complete silence for sometimes over an hour until we’re done and I say “thanks for playing” and they’ll just say “thanks”. Not acknowledging anything I said.
This really fucks with my head because I’m being ignored all the time but they say stuff like they love me and love hanging out. It’s really hurtful the way they ignore me but I don’t know how to address it without seeming too emotional. Am I being sensitive here? Why does it feel like they’re content to ignore me? Am I someone they don’t respect?
