Don’t overthink what you’ll say. Don’t get complicated or try to make it sound smart or funny. Try to comment when appropriate to the current context of conversation or interaction. Don’t try to one-up someone else. Just be honest and give voice to your true feelings in simple words. “I really like what you just said.” “Your hair looks different today, really cool.” “I’m having a bad day; I’m just not feeling well.”
Are you over-explaining, going into too much detail or oversharing?
Don’t try to feel anything you don’t actually feel.
Man I have the SAME problem. It’s been like this my entire life, my parents never ever showed affection and I guess it made showing feelings or anything like that as cringy later in my life.
I have trouble with this as well and the best I can say to you is to avoid speaking in cliches or buzzwords.
