Him (M24) and I (F22) have been dating for three months, and everything has been going great. He was a bad texter and would take hours to reply, but I eventually got used to it. During winter break, I went back home for three weeks, and we texted every day and even had a video call or two during those 3 weeks. When I came back, we had two dates, and then he didn’t text me for an entire week. I tried texting him, calling him to see if he was alright, but he wouldn’t respond, and a week and a half later, he responded, “I’m ok.” We eventually met up, and I told him that this does not sit well with me. His reasoning was that he had been stressed and needed time in isolation and that he was used to not texting his friends for weeks. I told him that there was a difference between friends and having a girlfriend and asked if he was willing to improve on his communication. He said he would, but it’s been so awkward and distant since that conversation

I really tried to have a conversation with him on text, even just trying to get him to text “good morning” and “good night,” but he doesn’t respond to them. I can see that he’s online, though, but he just never reply to my messages. Our three months anniversary is coming up this weekend and I doubt he remembers and even if I’ll remind him I feel like he’ll just tell me that he has plans with his family or that he has a volleyball game.

I just feel drained at this point. Should I call it quits? I still really like him, but…idk
