Tl:dr My boyfriend has been expressing concern about me not working enough or making enough money in general. For context, we don’t live together. He lives at home and is graduating from his degree. I live in a share house, completely independently supporting myself but I am struggling to complete my university studies. Although I make ends meet for myself working a casual job. And money never usually stops me for doing any activities such an travelling, eating out ect.
His concern is that I’m not making enough money and I am not trying hard enough to make more. He is worried that he will be further along in his career than me and I’ll be behind essentially.
This is mostly stemming from my struggles to study as I’m failing all of my subjects at university but I also failed high school, I have ADHD causing these problems. Although Uni just might not be for me.
Is this a valid argument? Really saddened by this, hellpp.
