I’m speaking in terms of excitement and fun.

  1. Probably going through tons of different experiences together. Houselife is boring AF and a relationship can deteriorate if no one does anything, so enjoying whole different experiences with the one you love makes things fun. Like going on a trip to Paris, or having a nice day at the beach, or even just a surprise date, variety is the spice of life and with every new experience in a relationship that’s fun and enjoyable for both people, it makes the whole relationship worthwhile.

  2. Initially, just the person. Going to the grocery store can be fun with the right person. Over time, trying new things and doing dates. We enjoy talking to each other a lot and that’s half the fun. We’ve done board game dates (gone to a board game cafe), cat cafe dates, movies, breweries, amusement parks (once – we aren’t rides people), comedy shows, libraries, errands, farmer’s markets, craft shows, concerts, bowling, different alcohol tastings.. etc.

Like, the other day, we picked up beers and dinner and set up shop under a tree on a blanket. We sat, ate, talked, and then read the books we brought. It was super fun to do after work.

Today, we went to see his parents for breakfast then went to a cat adoption clinic to look at cats, and then to some used book stores. Later, we’re getting Korean with my sibling and my BIL.

  3. Honestly my husband and I are just so compatible and in sync that literally everything we do together is fun. Even going to the supermarket to buy groceries is fun because we chat about elaborate meals we’re going to make, he tries to corner me with the trolley, we have silly in jokes about the fruit and veg.

I guess we keep things fun and exciting by going out to do fun and exciting stuff. We see shows, we go out for sushi, we go hiking, we play boardgames, we’ll go to an escape room, we bought a canoe for paddling adventures, the list is endless. He’s my best friend so anything I’d do with friends, I’d also do with him.

  4. On multiple occasions, Mr. WineAndDogs2020 has made me laugh so hard I started tearing up DURING sex. You keep those ones!

  5. Sense of humour! Even in the most mundane situation, my partner can make me laugh histerically.

In bigger terms, vacations/weekend trips. Plus we’re in the fortunate situation to both partly WFH so we can even work from some exciting new places.
