Something that came up recently in a movie, and it occurred to me that I’ve seen it in many American movies and shows, particularly from the 90s, is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
I assume “Sports Illustrated” is a magazine about sports, and maybe the Swimsuit Issue is an annual issue that focuses on pictures of women in swimwear?
Given all the things you can easily find online, it seems quaint – but maybe it has a dedicated fanbase? Did you ever have this? Was it a big deal?
