Hey Reddit community, I’ve got a bit of a dating dilemma and could use your insight. I’m scheduled to meet a guy from a dating app tonight. We’ve been chatting for a few weeks, mostly through texts. He’s suggested a walk in the park before dinner, which has me feeling a bit uneasy. I’ve responded to his suggestion (still waiting to hear back), but now I’m second-guessing the whole plan. Should I still go on this date? What do you guys think about the park walk idea? It’s giving me a weird vibe. Thoughts?

**Guy:** Hey hey GM! So excited to see you today !!!!!

**me:** Hi! Me too, [Guy]. Looking forward to meeting in person 😉 Where are we meeting, so I can plan my day?

**Guy:** So I have a dinner reservation at 5:45 at XXXX

**Guy:** In XXXX

**Guy:** But I was thinking we could maybe meet at XXXX park around 3:30 or sooo

**Guy:** Maybe take a little stroll ?

**Me:** About the park walk before dinner, it’s an interesting idea, but I’ll actually be at a Soulcycle class around that time. I get the concept of wanting to meet up beforehand to see if we click. However, I haven’t really done a park walk as a first meet-up before dinner and so it’s a little odd to me to get dressed up, get my hair done, wear heels and walk around in a park. Maybe we could switch things up and go for a drink instead of dinner at XXXX? That way, we still get a relaxed setting to get to know each other. What do you think?

EDIT!! Here is his response ;there were a couple of responses before this one, but this is the main one:

Definitely understand either way, like I said, really did think we were already clicking. Was thinking of the park because my office is right there and I wanted to have a reason to be near there and wanted to show you my old classic car that I have stored there. Maybe drive it to dinner. Anyway, like I said, all good either way.
