Hey! I’m 20M, who has struggled alot – especially when it comes to academics. I worked hard and improved my grades – from scoring U in subjects to B’s. Consequently, whenever I have a conversation with any academically accomplished person or someone in the field of teaching, for instance, my teachers, friends or any other family members, I instantly become defenseless; my 3 years of presistent academic failures often tend to overshadow my small educational accomplishments which again I was able to achieve until recently.

For this reason, I’m frightened to socialise with people and become stressful when they ask me about my grades in highschool and what are my plans for college. Just recently I met some admin members from my school and they started to judge me on the fact that it took me two more years to finish highschool/A levels. I would sincerely appreciate any advise on how to overcome this fear of mine and get better at socialising in such circles where these questions about my academic record are inevitable.

(Also, apologies for any grammatical errors. I’m studying for the SAT and focusing on working upon the grammar part.)
