Hi guys
So I’m 29. I got out of a 6 year relationship about 2 years ago.
I don’t know if it’s my age, my city or if this is just what modern dating is? I just don’t know what to do anymore.
When I was in college, I hooked up with a handful of girls and landed up seriously dating two of them. One for a year and the one was my ex of 6 years.
Now since I’ve been single, I’ve literally been on dates with 28 different women in the last year and a half (counted last night). Either I meet these people on dating apps, through friends or at bars.
Out of the 28, I’ve only actually properly liked 2 girls and they both eventually batted me.
I have a decent job, nice car, own a house, I’d say im relatively attractive. Im fit, I lift weights, surf, trail run and rock climb. I’ve gotten a bit more serious in my career and honestly I actually just want a partner now…
Shit was so much easier in college to meet decent people and make meaningful connections. I’ve joined a couple of clubs, including CrossFit to see if I could meet someone that way, no luck so far…
Im lonely and the worst thing is I know if I eventually find someone I like I’ll probably fuck it up. I’ll probably try too hard or something.
Any advice? Any tips on dating nearing your 30s?
