I met my best friend in high school, and we have been closer and more distant at different points in time. We are both in our mid-twenties now and have recently reconnected and have been seeing each other more.
Her dad recently had a stroke and is in a care facility as he recovers slowly, no longer being able to communicate through speech and having limited mobility.
I have texted her a few times, but don’t know exactly what to say or ask. I am just looking for some good ways to support her during this time but sometimes feel awkward bringing it up because I don’t want to make her sad
