On dating apps, do you always go for ‘safe bets’ when it comes to similarity (hobbies, interests, music taste, etc.) or do you think “well she’s not my type and has very different taste in things but let’s see what happens”? Did you ever end up in happy relationship with someone who was completely different?

Are people too set in their preferences, and picky? Should people be more open-minded and not focus on their preference list? Is sharing too much info about yourself in the start (or in profile) actually bad thing and pushes away possible partners? On the other hand, it’s nice to know info about someone so no one is wasting time talking to someone who is too different…or is it? Feels like internet and information sharing these days only makes dating a lot harder and complicated than it was before internet.

Just some morning thoughts. Did you go against all odds and got pleasantly surprised?
