I (M in his 20’s) stopped talking (romantically) to girls ages ago.

About 1 year ago, I had two bad experiences with girls I liked, and about 7 years before then I had a slight connection with one girl that didn’t go anywhere. I’ve always been called ugly by other men so I think that’s it and women are just too polite to say it out loud. I run 3x a week and recently started at the gym to help my self esteem so I don’t feel bad about my body.

just a bit about me if relevant:

1. I’m in a social circle where we have a mix of boys and girls and I get along well enough and would say i am on friendly terms with people. We go out to clubs sometimes.

2. Other than that, I am a little bit introverted. I like cooking, games, watching shows and doing indoor work.

3. I am not sure if dating is right for me since I am introverted and most of my hobbies are individual things. Most people in my culture have had lots of partners so I’m worried it’s too late for that.

4. I used to use tinder but I wasn’t getting any likes and it felt distracting, so I stopped using it. I go clubbing with my friends and used to try flirting but it was making me upset so I just stick with my friends now.

So I guess, should I just keep my head down and ignore the pressure of relationships etc and get on with my life, or should I try actually looking for someone. If so, how should I begin?
