(18m)So me and my ex (18f) dated for 1.5 years we were the best couple ever but I was immature at the time and cheated on the best person ever yes I know I made a mistake we broke up roughly 4 months ago and I’ve been working on myself and trying to be happy and it’s hard But anyways during our breakup we talked multiples times how we weren’t going to mess around with other guys and girls blah blah blah and I’ve stayed true to that because she told me she wanted it to be us in the end and I’ve written her letters almost everyday for 4 months because her fav movie was the notebook but anyways New Year’s Eve hits I find out she’s already talking to another guy and I was kind of upset because it’s like everything she told me was a lie but then again I can’t really say much I since I cheated but I don’t despise her at all if that’s what makes her happy then so be it I will support her no matter what and so me and her parents have a very close relationship like I’m basically their adopted kid and they want to go out for coffee with me to see how I’m doing and I would love to go with them but seems weird for me to go because she’s already moved on to another guy
TLDR: go for coffee with my ex’s parents even if she has a new guy?
