For those gamers here that had dates or SO’s that hated gaming or other “nerdy” hobbies, What was your story and how did it turn out

Just curious to see how others handled this. If you were dating someone and they commented on how they though gaming was “childish” or they looked down on another hobby of yours. Did you break it off immediately or did you hold down and they came to accept it even though it wasn’t their cup of tea.
