I have a best friend who often hangs out at my house (Netflix/sleepovers etc.). I have no problem with her, I love her and enjoy our hangouts but I’m an introvert and value alone time. My social battery drains usually the next day so I often have to make excuses like going out to get her to leave but I’m having a hard time as I feel like I’m always lying to her or chasing her out. (even if it’s true)
How do I tell her I want alone time and need her to leave without being rude? I don’t want her to think I don’t enjoy her company but I also don’t feel comfortable flat-out saying my social battery is drained, can you leave? What can I say to get her to leave without being offensive or rude? Especially the morning of a sleepover. I’m stressing….
