“CAC scan” is “coronary artery scan” & gives a score of your plaque level in arteries thus showing risk of heart attack. I gather it’s around $50 in USA & widely available over there.

**Can anyone tell me how much a CAC scan is in UK & where it’s cheapest in the UK?**

Loads of google searches revealed its £450-£600 which seems odd given it’s around $50 in USA. Not sure what’s up

I want to get the CAC scan done before & after a radical dietary change but NHS doctors won’t help or point me in the right direction because their care is “reactive”, not “pro-active”. I’ve tried multiple doctors, anyone who knows NHS understands the state it’s in, so am asking here as a last resort…
