I just want to know there are clubs and coffee shops where one can rock up without a plan but end up chatting till late with regulars and strangers about politics and art and science and absurd humour and weird metaphysics and shit.
I know I’m over-romanticising the idea of a 1920s intelligentsia coffeeshop. But I don’t believe that the only options for socialising these days are planning events/catch-ups weeks in advance, regular “activity clubs” where people just come do to their activity and then disappear, or coffee shops which close at 4pm and you’re supposed to mind only your own business at anyway.
