I 16M has known this girl since last 8 years but never talked much, she is also the same age as me. We never talked much for long but intiated a good conversation last 3 years back. She is a good friend of mine now. I asked her out to come with to a mall to help me get some clothes because my homie, who is also a friend of her is busy. She agreed and we are going on 17th and I don’t want her to get uncomfortable nor I want to be uncomfortable myself. Questions-
How should I comfort her while not being a jerk?
What kind of stuff should I do?
How can I keep her happy throughout the date and don’t bore her?
PS: Please keep in my mind that I do not have a crush on her and want to make her fall for me, lol, but I wouldn’t mind if it flows into that direction and we just start dating eachother as lovers.
Our similar interests: Anime, chit-chating, dad jokes and behaving stupid.
Edit: I just want her to be comfortable, the date isn’t romantic.

You clearly have a crush on her if you’re wanting a trivial trip to the mall to turn into a date.
When you asked her to come with you, did you specifically say it was a date? If not, you need to make your intentions clear. Otherwise she’s just going to think it’s just you guys hanging out at a mall
