How do you know what age gap is good when dating? I am 30. I set my profile for 28-36 which seems reasonable to me but I went on a date with a guy who lied about his age. He said he was 34 and he was 44. He said it was an error on the app but he never clarified. Obviously that is a fundamental lie and I am not interested but I also said at one point i don’t date men outside of that age range and he kind of went off about me being judgemental on age.
I picked that range because my experience has been that that age range is typically people near a similar stage of life as me with similar goals. But it has me wondering if im excluding people unfairly. I know i have a couple unfair criteria d/t my past traumas but I stand firm on them and don’t question that. Age was picked on observation though so I just figured I would ask for thoughts on it.
