Hi

I posted before about this but I’ll summarise –

Ordered a refurbished ipad from Amazon (third party seller) on 2nd December. iPad was used for the first time on 25th December and it wouldn’t charge. Other chargers used, it wouldn’t charge. The product was described as ‘excellent condition’.

I informed Amazon and they informed the seller. The seller took almost a week to reply with ‘try a different charger’. Back and fourth and they accepted a return and said they’d replace the ipad. So I sent it back on 8th January. They confirmed the ipad had been returned and was faulty on 11th January and they’d send a replacement. After confirming I wanted it sent to the original shipping address, they confirmed it had been dispatched on 15th January.

It gets to 24th January. No ipad. I get in touch and they say they say they’ll chase the dispatch. No response.

29th January I contact them for an update. They say they didn’t have stock but they now do and it’s clearing quality control and will be dispatched asap.

5th February, still no sign. We’re now talking about 4 weeks since I sent it back. I get in touch again. They say the stock failed quality control and they’re awaiting new stock. I say enough is enough, I want a refund now. Ignored. For reference, I only have 90 days from purchase to dispute this, the 90 days will be up in 3 weeks.

Amazon won’t honour the A-Z guarantee. They said they need my tracking receipt. Erm, it was returned A MONTH a go and the seller has confirmed the return. Why would I keep a tracking receipt once the return has been confirmed in black and white? This isn’t good enough, they won’t take their sellers own written words.

I honestly don’t have the energy any more. This whole situation has been draining and time consuming. I’ve gone to Fluid and filed a dispute, provided them with all the messages showing how much effort I’ve put into resolving this with the seller/Amazon, the confirmation of the return and the invoice.

I have surely done everything I can to sort this out myself? There’s a part of me that thinks the seller was trying to drag this out to the 90 days so that I’d have no rights. I paid for it with a credit card though so I do have rights.

Have you ever disputed with your credit card and how did it go?
