Not judging, since I come from East Asia and the big diamond trend is definitely a thing in some Chinese cities and Taiwan recently as well.
But with Western countries I have general felt like the engagement ring stones are more often much smaller.
I’m in a few jewelry subs and see a lot of people talking about “tiny” “cheap” diamonds that I thought were perfectly normal sized compared to ones I see in other Western countries.
