For example if we do more groceries, eat healthier and less expensive food at home with the additional work of cooking cleaning, maybe our monthly cost of food would drop from $1,500 to $1,400, $1,300 or possibly $1,200 and I wouldn’t mind her then having an extra $100, $200 or $300 a month (based on these examples).

On the other hand, she could get sensitive and think I’m just treating her like a maid/cook when I really just want to suggest an option given she has chosen to stop working for her current employer.

I also don’t mind helping with the cooking cleaning too as when we both worked, we both did household chores (cook, clean, etc.) together and still do.

What do you all think?
