I am a 45 y/o female who has been dating a 53 y/o male for approximately 1 year. I hate the term “boyfriend” because it sounds so juvenile, but it seems disrespectful to refer to him as a “friend” when I introduce him to people. What is another term to use that signifies we are in a committed relationship without sounding like a teenage girl?
