Lately, i listened to myself talk and ask questions, and i find myself realizing, that the direction where these conversations go are rather boring.
When i am in a group setting or listen to others talk they have many interesting stories, even just how they have a way with people and start off an interaction is upbeat and fun, whereas mine seems rather…. standard or basic. I suck at story telling, or sometimes if i have a decent one with a punch line, people lose interest right before it. It’s frustrating when i have like two sentences left, and their attention span just fades away.
Also, Im genuinely interested in someones life, what he is doing, and what his interests are, but my conversations from my point of view feel sort of like an interview.
I do tend or try to ask more than talk about myself, and yet the more i talk to people, i get that feeling that they just find me boring or even annoying at some point if I haven’t been part of the conversation and rejoin the circle. They sort of give me the lead of the conversation, to ask questions, etc., and i fail them. (if that makes sense)
