I don’t know what sub to put this in but I have been a stay at home mom for 9 years. My husband (and me really) wanted me to be available for the kids even after they went to school so I’m with them during summer breaks, sick days, and other school breaks. But I’ve struggled with losing my identity being a working woman. I have a pretty basic degree (bachelors with a major in psychology). How can I make baby steps at getting into the workforce again without losing time with my kids when they’re out of school? Is this an unattainable ideal? And how bad is it that I’ve been out of the workforce almost a decade?
