I listen to a lot of different american podcasts and shows and I feel like I’ve heard them casually mention their own, or somebody else’s exact height many, many times. Or speculate about a celebrity’s height, down to the exact inches.
For context – I can’t remember hearing Australians debating someone’s “real” height as a topic.
Like “hey mate, did you think that John is really 176cm like he says?” or “he’s a great player, he’s 191cm” is just not a sentence I would regularly hear. I’ve never declared my height to a group of friends, or “caught” someone lying about their exact number of centimeters.
And I only hear Americans bringing up the topic regularly.
