So I’ve (35 M) matched with this beautiful Spanish 28F on Bumble, and she’s coming to my country for a visit next week. She’s probably among the most beautiful matches I have, and I initially thought she’d just unmatch me and go for someone more attractive. She’s talked to me a bit, usually shorter messages, and her interest seems so-so. Which I kind of expected, given the app experience when matching with someone that obviously has vast amounts of options.

Today she sends me a message, without responding to my prior text, that she is quitting Bumble and gave me her Whatsapp and told me to add her there if I wanted to keep chatting.

Now, I don’t use Whatsapp that much, it’s not big in my country, but I know the rest of the world use it extensively.

So my question is: Would you add her on Whatsapp? Could it be a scam, phishing or any other malicious intents? Her pictures look like they could be from any online influencer’s Instagram, so I have a tingling feeling the account might be fake.

Also, what is your general policy on going off-app before a first date?
