Here’s a prime example as it happened this evening and I need to know how you guys would handle it.

My gf is going to make pizza for dinner. She sees that I had opened both of the balls of mozzarella by accident since I couldn’t find the unopened one when I was making dinner yesterday.

I will add here that both balls of mozzarella were put in glass sealed containers that keep them fresh regardless. I made a dumb choice in a hurry, but not that bad, right?

So she sees this and instantly goes into asking me why both are open in a kind of on edge, accusatory, disapproving tone. I explained the mix up.. and she just. keeps. on. going. “Babe, you really shouldn’t open one when there was another one in there”. Jeez… I never would have thought! I kept explaining and she tells me i’m “giving her the run around” and “it doesn’t look good”. (Whatever that means, mind you we’re talking about cheese). After having too much I said in a stern voice “That’s what I did. I did what I did. Let’s move on”.

Now she’s acting salty that I told her off and is trying to make me sound like a liar???

How do I speak with her to ensure that she understands how this makes me feel and that I don’t think it’s right?
