And by that I (24F) mean I’m buying sweet treats, balloons, and a bouquet of flowers for my husband (26M). It’s a running joke between us that I don’t have a romantic bone in my body. I try, but he’s definitely more romantic. For a while leading up to Valentine’s Day I was worried he’d forget about it and was sad at the thought of not having a date or something special planned (he did not forget. He has things planned and I’m excited. I just worry myself for no reason sometimes I guess).

Then I thought, why should I wait around for him to do the romance? So I’ve decided to get all the Valentine’s things for him. I’m getting balloons, flowers, candy, maybe even a cute little throw blanket. It might be a bit ridiculous, but the more ridiculous the more I get the romance aspect across. He always enjoys when I go all out on gifts and treats, it makes him feel spoiled and adored. I’m looking forward to seeing him roll his eyes and smile at how silly it all is, but really, I adore him.
