Where am I supposed to look while dancing

I’ve been taking dance lessons (discofox, foxtrot etc.) with this girl in a larger group of around 50 people. Now I’m wondering: where am I supposed to look while we are dancing. I always look to the side and I think it’s a bit awkward holding eye contact for the whole 3 minutes of a song.
