I’m 21M, I’ve never been too good at making new friends if I haven’t met them through a mutual friend. I had a pretty big group of friends I would go out with in college but now I’m done that number has been cut 90% due to distance. The few left are going to be busy tn and I don’t really want to waste a Friday night sitting at home doing nothing.

So I thought I could just go to the bar and chill maybe talk to some new people. But idk how to exist in that setting without looking like a weird anti-social

Thoughts?

  1. Find a local neighborhood type bar. Let the bartender know you’re new to the area and are looking for cool people to hang out with. The bartender knows all of the regulars and will likely introduce you to some of them. Bartenders get busy, and like to make sure their regulars feel welcome. Regulars knowing each other keeps them entertained when the bartender can’t give them individual attention. Introducing regulars to each other helps also helps keep a family vibe. Finding a bar with a tv and knowing a little about sports also helps.
