That’s a politician at a high enough level that their name would be well known nationally, but with just not enough responsibilities/ foreign affairs involvement that the rest of the world knows them too. Like the mayor of a big city who is somehow always indicted for tax fraud but gets re-elected; the minister of sports who keeps insulting their constituents, the president of the parliament who got caught hosting lavish dinners during COVID lockdowns etc.
The reason they’re messy has nothing to do with their politics and everything to do with being a terrible person. Who is that person in your country?
