In the USA, you can download an app, select a doctor, and video call with them for a small fee. They can even write prescriptions and send them in minutes. Is there anything like this in the UK?

Asking because my grandmother in the UK recently had to wait for 5 hours to get a simple prescription renewal, which took 2 minutes once she saw the doctor.
