I got italian citizenship 2 months ago (after 2 years since i requested it) and i’m interested if there is a worse country then italy that deals with this procedure.
You have to request an appointment online but there’s never a slot available. The ones that are made available are taken instantly by bots of private companies that you can pay for them to request it for you.
Once you get it you have to go there in person with all the documents. This is usually a date that is months later (6 from what i’ve heard).
If everything is fine you get it a month or 2 after that.
