I (20F) met a new friend (20F) last year from college. We’ve been friends for 4 months now. My friend is really nice and we like to do a lot of stuff together. Recently though, I’ve been feeling sad by what she’s told me.

We have a class together and I struggle taking notes because it’s a foreign language class. My friend tells me that I have “no right to take so long because she has it worse than me.” My friend is taking a lot of classes and I know how tired she is, but her words make me sad because I’m doing my best.

She also complains all the time about how her roommate praised their SO for finishing their homework which my friend says is stupid because “she could probably do that in an hour because it’s easy.”

I know I should talk to her, but my friend is really stubborn and doesn’t listen to me because she thinks she’s right in everything. How should I approach this? And what should I do if she shuts me down and disregards my feelings?

TL;DR: My friend is inconsiderate of my feelings and complains about she has it worse than others. How should I address this with her?
