today, I, 18F, saw my boyfriend, 18M ‘s messages when he asked me to send a text to his friend from his phone, because his hands were full. when I opened the messages app, I saw the name of this girl; let’s call her Julia; in his recent messages. Julia is a girl in his class that has a crush on him. I’ve told him on multiple occasions that I’m not comfortable with him interacting with her, because she developed this crush on him even after being well aware that he was in a relationship with me. She has also tried to draw a rift between me and my boyfriend by spreading nasty rumours about me. So I’ve told him on multiple occasions that I do not like him interacting with her or talking to her. Today, I saw her texts in his recent messages and opened them. turns out, my boyfriend had been texting her late at night from around 2 to 4am (for 2 hours straight) the night before. And strangely enough, all their past messages had been deleted.
Also, he’d left me on delivered at around the same time. He says it’s not big deal and that I shouldn’t worry since she’s just a friend. He’s also lied to me telling me that he never texts first while their conversation yesterday was started by him. I’ve tried not to think about this too much but the thing is, my boyfriend has cheated on me before. Maybe that’s why I’m so paranoid? I don’t know what to do in this situation so I’m asking for advice (pls be kind I will cry)
