I never carry cash in Australia. I pay for everything with credit cards via my iPhone. Tipping is not common in Australia as service workers are paid decent minimum wage. Since the pandemic paying by “tapping” has been encouraged, and many shops, cafes and restaurants places won’t even accept cash any more.. I’m hoping to visit US later this year and curious about how you manage tipping without cash, or are you all still carrying cash?
