Anyone matched someone on tinder, had a good chat all going well and then the chat has vanished – you assume unmatched, only for them to reappear within in your liked folk at the top a few days later?
Had a good chat with a guy a week ago and he vanished mid convo. Assumed he just wasn’t interested but a few days later I had a notification of a new like but it wasn’t the first one – scrolled along a bit and saw a new dot on his profile back in my likes. So we started from a blank convo again. Last night I gave him my number as we’re planning a date for the weekend and gave it as a ‘just in case’ and today he’s vanished again.
I can find loads on shadowbans and bans that are permanent but very little on this disappearing and reappearing of the existing profile rather than a new match. Not sure if it’s avoidant behaviour (why ask me out at all then?), whether he’s hiding a secret life, or it’s just tinder being buggy. Hoping he reappears but maybe it’s a blessing in disguise…
