What is some of the best seafood from your country? Personally, I love seafood as it is my favorite genre of food so I am just curious. Over here in the USA we have a lot of specific regions where seafood is highly consumed and it would be considered a staple of culture. In terms of seafood we have lots of shrimp based dishes (shrimp gumbo is a great one).

In the southeast, they have Étouffée which is made with crayfish. We also have gumbo, oysters (bienville style, rockefeller style, or served raw, typically), catfish, trout, and alligator (usually fried).

In the north, they have lots of crab and lobster based dishes also (I’ve never actually been to the northern USA though so maybe I shouldn’t speak for them)

We also have many tuna, sushi, and salmon related dishes. But that’s more of a general seafood thing I think.
