Hey everyone, I hope this can help you a bit, keeping it short:
I noticed that a great way is to download one of the “4 player games”. Basically mobile games where you play with up to 4 players on the same device.
I can state from my own experiences that I always had a great time playing these, and it was easy for me as an introvert connecting with people I didnt really know that way.
As a developer myself I know that the goal is always to have players playing as long as possible and the games got to be very fun. While in other contexts that might be bad, I think in these situations it is a good thing.
One example how I am using it:
In school, we regularly have up to 1,5h of free time in between classes. Many of the students come into our cafeteria. Especially when none of my close friends are there I like to pull out my phone and play some games, because I know that it is just super fun.
