Lifestyle pace decreased and consistent companionship increased, also known as: relationship weight lol
Still working on it. lol.
I gained weight by consistently exercising. Even with working a stressful, toxic job, I always made time to exercise. When I had to report to the office prior to the pandemic, I spent my 15 minute breaks by taking brisk walks. When we went full remote once lockdown began, I used my breaks to ride my exercise bike. I spent most of my weekends going on hikes with my husband and dog.
Antipsychotics combined with what turns out to be hypothyroidism. Now that I’m on Synthroid I’m back to being able to lose weight easily (by easily, I mean that I just can’t eat salt and vinegar chips *and* mayonnaise every day, even though I really love them).
Sedentary hobbies + sedentary job + depression
Weightlifting
When I was in middle school and was 5’7 and 95 pounds. In highschool I was 5’10 and 120. I hated it
I only gained weight by heavy weight lifting for muscle that worked. Absolutely…no cardio. Tons of protein and carbs. And also age…it took a long time. When I was 26 that’s when I was finally happy. At 145lbs
I got a desk job… 🙁
Had a friend who was underweight and she got prescribe fish oil or something like that and she had a normal weight in no time.
Mostly age, but also having had 2 pregnancies and somewhat sucking at remembering to take my Hypothyroidism medicine daily.
I’m still within a normal weight though and do try to maintain my current size.
Nursing made me SUPER hungry, plus taking care of a baby made me have no time for exercise.
Calorie counting fixed it.
I matched my food intake with my gym regimen. I like to push myself so as a result my metabolism was nothing crazy, but definitely faster than most. So once I started eating correctly, I gained just under 15 pounds of lean muscle over a span of maybe 6 months.
working on it. But its hard.
Age and generally slowing down
I’m 31 and still can’t gain weight. I hate it.
