Here to pick the brains of other men. I am a woman with a male partner, and we have a fantastic, active sex life. We do not use condoms during penetrative sex. A few weeks ago, my guy’s penis had a run in with the strings of my IUD. The glans had a specific spot that was visibly red and irritated. I had the strings trimmed shorter, we took a break to let the irritation calm down, and we’ve had sex since that was more comfortable for him.

My question is this. He is now experiencing serious hypersensitivity at the specific spot on the head of his penis where the iud strings hit him, even though the redness and visible irritation is gone. Has anyone else dealt with something similar? I feel pretty bad for having caused him discomfort, even if it was not even remotely intentional, and it’s not something I’ve dealt with in past partners.
