I (f in 20s) matched with a man on Hinge. At the time, I was swiping on random people because I thought no one would like me. Got a match. He’s a nice guy in his late 20s, and passionate about music. That’s everything he talks about and lives for, which is fine. We went on a date and ended up on a couch listening to a live band. He seemed to be in his own world with his passion for music and did not ask me many questions about myself. I brought up most of the topics because I get uncomfortable with silence. He told me he wants to hang out again, but I don’t. He’s been texting to check on me and plan something but I’ve been giving him excuses (50% of which are valid). I don’t think anything romantic can come of out it, but I like the company and having someone else to hang out with.
The thing is, I don’t want to lead him on if we keep hanging out, but I don’t want to let go of the feeling of being appreciated. I don’t know what t tell him. Should I continue seeing him?
