I (20M) recently found out that my girlfriend (19 F) had oxy, xanax, and fentanyl hidden from me in her apartment, and none of these are prescribed. I have had family members and friends pass from overdoses before, and hearing that she’s had these hidden from me really makes me upset. I also used to use, and am clean now.
She says she doesn’t use the drugs, but why have them in the first place? And not tell me?
I really think this is a deal breaker for me, as someone who is turning away my drug use and as someone who is recently clean, I do not want to surround myself with drugs again, especially those drugs that she has.
I also am very scared of what might happen if I do end up breaking up with her. We had a huge argument about 2 months ago, and I broke off from her then, which she then tried to kill herself and ended up back in the psych ward for 2 weeks. I’m scared if I break up with her again, she might try to purposefully overdose and the drugs she hid from me.
