TL;DR: I broke up with my ex-fiancee last week because ultimately I just don’t think he was ready to be married and I’m not sure if we are truly compatible. Nonetheless, I really love him despite everything and it took me ages to find him. I really want to have a family someday and be in a loving supportive partnership. However, now that I’m 26, with a failed engagement, it feels like a pipe dream.
I’d love to hear some stories from people who broke off their engagement and whether it was the right decision in the end.
