It’s to my knowledge that homes in europe are typically smaller. I know that in Germany, people typically rent, which leads me to assume that lots of people live in apartment style housing.

In America, I feel like homes have lots of space, which is why I think that people are more inclined to have home gyms.

With the presumed lack of space in European homes, as compared to U.S. homes, are home gyms popular at all?

Just wonderin

(I apologize in advance if I’m making any inappropriate assumptions)

  1. I know a few people that have them, and more people that have a very small version (like one machine or a few weights).

Here where I am most people indeed live in apartments. They mostly wouldn’t dedicate a whole room to a gym.A lot of people go to gyms with a monthly or yearly membership though, rather than work out at home.

  2. I have a stationary recumbent bike, and a bench with rack. Very useful during the lockdown to keep me from going insane. Most of the people I know have some sort of exercise device at home.

But in my circle of friends, most people tend to want to do their workouts outdoors. Surfing, jogging, cycling, that sort of thing.
