From the outside looking in- football, basketball and even hockey seem way more popular than baseball. No one ever seems to talk about baseball much (unless they are talking about Ohtani). That said, I’m always taken aback by the massive contracts that many baseball players get.
Are baseball teams that profitable? How popular is the game (in comparison to other sports)? Does the popularity vary much from region to region?
