I (21F) am SUPER anti social. I have been since probably 8th grade. I’ve tried talking to new people now, but it just seems impossible for me.
I got a new job and started 3 days ago and I’m planning on staying for a little over a year before I move out of state, but I’m so awkward. I always try to stand by “It’s only awkward if you make it awkward” so I try my hardest to converse, but I’m just so bad at it.
I don’t really get a long with a lot of girls my age, idk why I just don’t share a lot of the same interests (same with guys either ) and I’m not trying to generalize and say all women like the same things, I’m just saying from my experience.
But anyways I work with 3 other girls in my department for 8 hours everyday and I just don’t know what to talk about and even if I had prompts I wouldn’t know how to carry on the conversation. I just want to make work friends and not sit in this awkward silence.
