TLDR: I’m terrified I may have accidentally given my husband head with a cold sore. (Idk if it’s a cold sore??) Also worried about my baby sharing food off my fork.

Backstory:
I’ve been with my husband for 10+ years. We’ve only ever had sexual relations with each other. Never any issues.
He has had cold sores, HSV 1, for forever, he contracted them as a kid.
I’m very particular about it and we are always over the top safe when he has one. We have a 1 year old and he never kisses him or lets him touch his mouth with or without a cold sore bc we don’t want to ever risk him getting it.
I’ve been so weird about it lately that we hardly share drinks or kiss.

I’m aware it can spread even without an active sore, but I’ve never had a sore. I also know it can be dormant in my own body.

ANYWAYS, yesterday I let my one year old eat off my fork at lunch. That evening, I gave my husband head. That night, I noticed a freaking little blister or something on my lip. Idk if it’s a blister, but it’s something. I 100% have had this before in the same spot, but it’s usually right after wearing certain lipsticks and it never looks like an actual cold sore that you always see. I did wear lipstick yesterday.

What are the odds of giving him HSV 1 on his genitals from this, given he’s had oral HSV 1 for years?

What do we do now? Wait and see? I’m not calm or patient enough for that. I’m already dreading what our lives would be like with genital heroes.

Thanks for any help.
