We have enough foreign animals (invasive) as is: Burmese pythons, tegus, feral pigs, green iguana, feral cats, etc.
Pandas

I want to say elephants because they are awesome but that would be a disaster.
So let’s go with Eagle Owls.
*Vulpes bengalensis, Vulpes cana, Vulpes chama, Vulpes corsac, Vulpes ferrilata, Vulpes pallida, Vulpes rueppellii,* and *Vulpes zerda.*

Imagine looking outside and seeing a bunch of red pandas playing out there?
“Sorry boss, can’t come into work today. There’s a red panda family playing in my backyard.”
“Completely understand, see you tomorrow.”
camels in south dakota
Valais Blacknose sheep. There are valid USDA reasons why we don’t have them but they’re adorable.
Camels. Might as well start importing them as the West becomes more desert.
The Allen’s Swamp Monkey in the Western South, primarily along the Mississippi Delta. They are very social primates whose diets consist of fruits and leaves, as well as beetles and worms. They live in groups of about 40, mainly in swamp forests in West Central Africa and are nearly a threatened species.

Not exactly a super exotic choice but I want hedgehogs.
I saw a post recently from someone somewhere about hedgehogs being ubiquitous where they are are, almost like squirrels here, and i want that. Granted, they might exist like this somewhere in the US, but i had never thought about wild hedgehogs before, and it sounds adorable.
Kangaroos, could you imagine herds/mobs of them jumping around like cattle 😂 No doubt they would destroy ecosystems, but it could be fun👀
Scarlet Macaws please
Anteaters to support my red ant eradication project and because they are cool looking.
Would be cool to have an extant tiger species native to the US, such as the Siberian tiger or Bengal tiger.
Hippos would be cool.
I just want the Carolina parakeet back
